About Us The Mill City Jr. Maulers is a non-profit youth organization
located in the City of Lawrence, MA. Currently our Board of Directors is comprised of 7 Board members and 6
Associate board members. Mill City was established to provide a structured and supervised
football & cheer program for the youth of Lawrence and the Greater Merrimack Valley area. Mill City Strives to implement
the ideals of good sportsmanship with an emphasis on teamwork, honesty, loyalty, courage, and scholastics. These ideals
are put forth in order to develop positive values in becoming stronger, healthier, self-confident and responsible members
of the community. * Objective To allow children
to have fun participating in football and cheerleading with old and new friends, in an organized fashion, with safety as a
main element of consideration. The skills sets developed for football will include passing, receiving, blocking, offensive
and defensive position play, and an overall athletic development in football. The skills sets developed for cheerleading
will include tumbling, dance, learning cheer songs, stunting, lifting, tossing girls, and an overall athletic development
in cheerleading. Our children will also develop health and fitness skills. * Goal Statement Our goal is to become a leading youth program within
the Merrimack Valley community, providing our children with a strong foundation and understanding of football and cheerleading.
We aspire to carry a reputation in the city for developing and delivering a program that will change the mindset of many youth
for a better future. We can achieve this by program development, training, and an understanding of the needs of the
youth.

EXPECTATIONS AND COMMITMENT Football & Cheerleading requires commitment from everyone involved
in order to ensure that the Mission and Goals will be met for every participant.... Chain of Command - Conference Board of Directors
- Mill City Board of Directors
- Coachs, assistants &
other team volunteers
- Parents
- Participants
In addition to the significant
time commitment, players must be prepared to make the necessary physical, mental & emotional commitments to football &
cheerleading. Some participants may simply not be ready yet. We would rather a participant (and their parents)
decide to wait rather than force a child to stay for the season & never play again because they feel ashamed or learn
to hate the game. For this reason, Mill City offers 100% refund to any participant who withdraws from the program prior
to the first regular -season game. BASIC
EXPECTATIONS Participants should expect to make
football or cheerleading a priority from the start of the pre-season practices in early August through the final game in early
November. Practice time & repetition are required to adequatelly learn the basic fundamentals on-field responsibilities.
Participants who play other sports are expected to choose football or cheerleading practices over practices in other sports,
& football games over other games. - Schedule conflicts
should be discused with your child's Head coach
- It is at the
coach's sole discretion to "bensh" a child for an upcoming game if he/she did not participate in required practices.
- Bottled water should be brought or purchased to for every practice to avoid dehydration
- Proper dress is required: Football: practice uniforms &
cleats Cheerleading: Shorts/ gym pants, sneakers, t-shirt, hair tied in a pony-tail (absolutely
no sandals or flip flops, no jeans, no jewlery, including earings)
- Contact / Emergency Contact information should always be kept current
