LAWRENCE — St. Patrick School students were the overall winners in Sunday's annual St. Patrick's Day parade with their decorated float and team of marchers.

Organizers estimate more than 5,000 people lined downtown streets to cheer the participants in the Shades of Green-themed parade, despite the wind and cold temperature.

Other trophy winners were:

New England Civic Ballet, first-place float

 Acting Out, second-place float

Mill City Jr Maulers, third-place float

Boys & Girls Club of Lawrence, first-place marchers

Parade
We would like to say Thank You to everyone who took part in the parade on Sunday it was a good time. The fliers & coupon's were a huge success with a record number of people visiting the web site & inquiring about the league. We look forward to seeing everyone @ our first official registration on Saturday March 22nd @ the Boys & Girls Club. The 7th & 8th grade indoor football team will hold a Practice/Scrimmage that day (weather permitting) as they prepare for the playoffs.

Thank You
